Pedro Sauer comes to town

Today was Pedro Sauer Seminar at Summit Martial Arts! So much learned and gained today from having him in. For a history of Pedro Sauer, see here: https://www.bjjheroes.com/bjj-fighters/pedro-sauer What I would add after meeting him is that he is an amazing BJJ instructor. His ability to communicate the details of a move involve not just the move but the necessary movements to execute a move. The, as he called it, "invisible jiu jitsu". He is also a very humble, kind person that is extremely interested in seeing people do BJJ for a lifetime not just for a year or two by employing safe training strategies. When he walked onto the mat, he had a huge smile and went around to every person on the mat to shake their hand, look them in the eye, and thank them or welcome them to the seminar. A wonderful person indeed. As far as training we worked on understanding the control that can be had from the guard and it does not have to be such a defensive position. Instead a means to ...
