Pedro Sauer comes to town
Today was Pedro Sauer Seminar at Summit Martial Arts! So much learned and gained today from having him in. His ability to communicate the details of a move involve not just the move but the necessary movements to execute a move. The, as he called it, "invisible jiu jitsu". He is also a very humble, kind person that is extremely interested in seeing people do BJJ for a lifetime not just for a year or two by employing safe training strategies. When he walked onto the mat, he had a huge smile and went around to every person on the mat to shake their hand, look them in the eye, and thank them or welcome them to the seminar. A wonderful person indeed. As far as training we worked on understanding the control that can be had from the guard and it does not have to be such a defensive position. Instead a means to ...
